Modifying Starter Theme

I am theme develper of prestashop and am trying to develop theme from last couple of days, I am trying to make sample theme from Starter Theme provided by Prestashop on GitHub https://github.com/PrestaShop/StarterTheme.

 

What I did is paste into themes folder and rename to "StarterTheme-master" to "blackhawk" and config.yml.

Here, I have set followin information only

  url: "http://www.prestashop.com"

 

While I active "blackhawk" theme from backoffice. I saw blank white on frontoffice. I am unknow how to tackle this issue. That would we be awesome if I start this theme.

Hi,

I have just started using Prestashop 1.7. I have a problem with the default theme, because there isn't the option that allows you to show the subcategories in the category page (It was available in module Theme configurator in 1.6, but this module wasn't remove in 1.7). So they suggest me to use the Starter Theme, which gives me this possibility but I can't install it. I download the file zip from this link https://github.com/PrestaShop/StarterTheme. Then I rename config/theme.dist.yml to config/theme.yml and I edit it according to my theme name. When I try to upload the theme in BO it doesn't work, and it says "This theme isn't available for Prestashop 1.7". I can't understand what's the mistake. Can you help me?
