Group clients category discount / default category

Hi,

due to some problems with catalog price rules I used to make price drops on my store by adding category dicount for clients in Clients>Groups. I did it by choosing custom made category named "pricedrop" in category discount. Products that I want to be discounted are in multiple categories including this one - "pricedrop". The problem is that the discount applies only to these products which have "pricedrop" set as the DEFAULT category. Can I change it somehow? Make it apply not only for default categories but also for any other which are connected to a product?
