skara
I' trying to change email template (e.g. adding social icon). I've changed order_merchant_comment template from traslation BO menu and checked it in mail/it folder (html and txt as well). Everything fine and easy! In BO I went into order and send a message to an italian customer (to me for test). The email arrives, but with the standard Italian template, not with the changed one (I've checked in mail/it folder and the re is the changed one). It seems it is not using the template in mail/it, but one in another folder. Which is the correct email template folder? Any idea about the problem? Thank you Here below PS info. Thank you in advance for any idea. skara
Hello, Check Inside your customized theme the mail folder ! ..\your_theme\mails\it Also at the root : mails\it Check the files : order_merchant_comment.txt for the translation Firendly I've changed the "core" email template in BO, so I supposed that the changed template are in mails\it (infact here the template are changed). So, I'm confused: which template have to change? In mails\it or \your_theme\mails\it or both? Is there a bug to be highlighted? Thank you for your reply. skara
Did you check the mails inside your theme folder : ? (..\themes\your_theme\mails\it ) Yes, it's needed to change both ! Also the version Html and text. I have done manually all changes insides mails (html and text) because I have errors inside Html version using translations ! I've changed first in the theme (..\themes\your_theme\mails\it ), and it already works (without changing core folder). It is already working fine everithing, but I'll follow your precious suggestions to change the core folder as well. Is it enough to copy and paste everithing from theme folder to core folders (mails/it), isn't it? Let me ask you also: text version when will be used? Remark: I've added the socials below in all the emails, and some missing translations in the emails. I hope in the next ps versions it will be included. Thank you myselfidem for your help. myselfidem
Thanks ;-) Your question: "Is it enough to copy and paste everything from theme folder to core folders (mails/it), isn't it ?" Yes, we can copy like you said or vice versa. There are the same files inside the folder : mails\it. Also inside your customized theme and default-bootstrap theme. About the text version...Maybe it's for customers using only to see the mails with text and not with Html ? Friendly
