"Customer Service" tab not loading

Hi guys,

 

We're running PS version 1.4.6.2 and the "Customer Service" tab has always taken a while to load but today it stopped loading altogether. The page tries to load and the spinning browser icon runs for many minutes but eventually it stops and shows the below error message.

I haven't installed any modules and I've tried different browsers, different computers and also cleared browser cache but that didn't help.

 

Any suggestions please?

For anyone that has a similar problem..

 

My host upgraded the PHP version from 5.3 to 5.5 and that resolved the problem however, the next day the front end started giving issues which is likely unrelated as explained here;
