Backoffice Description and Short Description error - Appearing as Blank

HI,

I am using the latest version of prestashop 1.6.1.6 with the latest version of PHP 7.0.9 and I am seeing that when I goto add a new product, earlier I use to get a nice GUI visual text editor. Now I do not even get a plain input box where I can type in the product Short or Long Description. Please help urgently as this is preventing me from updating any more products.

you will see there js errors related to tinymce

you turned on console BEFORE you accessed to product edit page ?

Nope I did after. But I fixed the problem. I went into my root folder and replaced the tiny_mce folder within the js folder in the root www directory, with the latest version of tiny_mce found here https://www.tinymce.com/download/

 

Some older posts on prestashop guided me towards that.
