[SOLVED] Stuck On Step 4 <yawn>

Hi

Well I'd love to try Presta Shop and ditch the life consuming Zen Cart, but I'll be damned if I can get past step 4

I've tried checking and unchecking the 'Receive notifications by e-mail' box, that made no difference

I've tried it with and without an email address in step 3, that made no difference

I've tried it with manual SMTP configuration in step 3, that made no difference

I've tried it with simple and full install mode, that made no difference

I've tried installing in Google Chrome and IE, guess what? That made no difference either!

It's bad enough having to fight a shopping cart to get it to work properly, but particularly poor when it wont even install!!

Please, does anyone have instructions for manually installing, or an alternative installer - something that actually TELLS me whats wrong so I stand a chance of fixing it?

There must be something about your server configuration that PrestaShop doesn't like. I suggest that you use the Developer Tools in IE or Firebug in Firefox to check for an error message.

The reason for the failure at Step 4 was the number of characters in the shop name.

My shop has a 15 character name which the install didn't seem to like!??

I called the shop 'Test' and changed it in the B.O. once installed.

That's odd. My shop name is "Nethercott Constructions" and I didn't have any problems installing. Are there any special characters in your shop name?

No. Just standard letters.
