Changing the size of the frame for product pictures

Hello everyone!
I was wondering if someone can give me some insight to if it is possible to change the set frame size which is for the product pictures. I am using the simple Prestashop theme. Why I am asking this is because I have product pictures of different sizes and when the size of the picture doesn't match the already "set frame"/the box which is around it, it leaves blank white spaces for example on both side or both bottom and top. I have attached a photo where you can see that the image I use is rectangular however the set size for the whole box is squared, therefore leaving white blank space at the top and the bottom. Is there any way to change the box size, at least to have it rectangular?

can you share link to the image please?

im convinced that it is square, not the rectangle.

 

you have to upload proportional image sizes to image defined in your preferences > themes section (product images)
