Billy
I have already built one site out of presta. Its a small electronic parts website. I must say it has turned out very nice. It should be live in a month or so. When it is I will post up in the showcase. Now back to biz.How to Configure a mega store with presta----1) How many products do you think presta can handel? 10,000 - 20,000 - 100,0002) Has anyone been able to get chained selects working in presta? a) Example: http://www.jcwhitney.com/ upper left (Select a Make, Select a Model & Select a Year)3) I have many different Manufactures and Suppliers and I will need a lot of different Subcategories of Categories. a) How would you go about building an automotive store out of presta? How would you start building a website knowing that their is a never ending supply of stuff to sell? c) Would you build it base on manufacture then model? d) Would you build it based the different kind of parts? This could get very confusing...4) Updating inventory a) Could I maintain a seriously big (Product Wise) website with presta? Should I be looking elsewhere for a different system? c) If so what would you suggest? That's a good enough start for now. So can presta handel it?Thanks in advance for your insight.Billy
justweb
Hello,I m looking for the same module, do you find the way to do this ?thx
kidnkorner
I think with that many products and any real traffic you would quickly need your own dedicated server. If you get the sales volume this would pay for that. Sorry I don't have the answer you need but I would recommend rackspace.com for your services.
