Small Icons missing after font change

Recommended Posts

Hi Friends,

Note: I have just started to work with Prestashop (2 days!) and I have no coding knowledge.

I have downloaded a free template for educational purpose and I am working on it to enhance my skills.

Working with my template, I have now come across a problem which seems to be a little bit of headache. I tried to change the language of website, and I did it. but the original font of template was not a pretty one for my language. so , I changed it manually by replacing all font names in several css files (arial, fontawaesome, etc..) to a new font (tahoma) which was Ok style-wise and to some extent web-safe. Apparently , fontawesome contains styles for alphabets s as well as icons. So, all icons are now missing (showing only an empty square) . Of course as I explained earlier, I do not know coding , so I didn't know which part in the css file is related to icons and which part to texts... any help? Can I add icons portion of fontawesome to tahoma for instance?

Hi vekia,

Thanks for respond

I know. But my concern mainly is that I want to keep Tahoma font-style and have the icons back at the same time. When I was changing font-family in css files, I didn't know which part is related to icon and which part is related to letters, so I changed all of font-family sections.

Now I want to know, is fontawaesome only related to icons and shapes or it also affects letter style? if it is only related to icons, I will reload css files changing all fonts names except fontawesome. but, if it is related to letter's style as well as icons, it will make my job very difficult since I will not know where to keep fontawaesome and where to change it!!

Another option -which I have no clue how to do- is to edit my favorite font and insert icons into that!!!
