DARKF3D3
Hello to all the PS experts on the forum, I'm here with a new doubt... Actually my website based on PS 1.6.0.9 it's on a server with: PHP 5.4.45 MySQL 5.5.50 It's better to upgrade to the last version of PHP and MySQL, or could be some compatibility issue? Upgrading can affect on the website performance? Last version available: PHP 7.0.8 (Released: 23 Jun 2016) MySQL 5.7.
vekia
some of the modules will not work properly with php 7 - if you're still on 1.6 in my opinion it is better to use php
DARKF3D3
It's pity because looking at some website that made php speed comparsion it seems that with PHP 7 there's a big performance boost.
PatJ
Hello i made a short test with PHP 7 and the speed of the prestashop 1.6 increased a lot. Unfortunatly, there were some modules and some pages not working properly. So I had to go back to PHP 5.5 Is it possible to know when Prestashop will support PHP 7 ? Is there any information somewhere about this ? Thank you, Best regards

PatJ
Hello The 2 problems I met: 1 ) I had the "Chronopost" Module not working ( Chronopost is a French shipping service ). I was not able to generate the shipping documents (in back-office.) 2) And on the front-office, everything was working well, apparently, but I tried to modify an address in customer account and I wasn't able to save the modified address (blank page). This are the 2 problem I had, and I then decided to go back to PHP 5.5because no time to lokk deeper at that moment. Back to PHP 5.5, all was ok again. My project is to build a test server with PHP 7 and try again
