How do I set up a database

I am in the process of installing Prestashop. I have no clue at the install stage about what "localhost" is. What database name is. Login and Password. What do I put in these fields? How do I make a database and where does it sit?

When you sign up with a host for a website, they should give you FTP details so you can upload files to your server space and cPanel details so you can change the database and server configuration settings. Log in to cPanel, go to the Databases section and then create a new database like yoursitename_db, then create a user like yoursitename_usr with a password, then assign that user to the database. Once you've done that, you can then install PrestaShop using localhost as the server, yoursitename_db as the database, yoursitename_usr as the username and the password.
