Making site changes and clearing cache (1.6.1.6)

Hi all,

 

I've been struggling with this problem for a while so I figured I'd try to get some help again.

 

Any changes made to the website, whether it's modifying a CSS file or simply adding another link to the Horizontal Menu,

does not take affect until I clear cache in back office performance. 

 

The issue is this: after clearing the cache this is how the home page looks like (image 00). It takes up to 15 minutes for it to fix itself up. Image 00 is how the site usually looks like.

 

All my cache options under performance are turned on, as itdoes seem to work wonders for the site's speed, however, I would sacrifice speed for stability in some of these options are causing this problem. Does anyone have any idea why this happens? I don't believe it was an issue until upgrading prestashop to 1.6. 

 

Also, please point me in the right direction if there is list of specific proper instructions on how to deal with making changes in prestashop to avoid these issues.

Make sure that you don't have "Never recompile template files" option enabled under Template compilation on Advanced Parameters -> Performance.

Should I keep this option on then? Recompile templates if the files have been updated

 

And all the cache options are ok being set to on?
