just444
Hey guys, have you ever seen this? I'm running a new PS 1.6 shop for couple of weeks and now realised that google have indexed my shop incorrectly. I can see number of links in google search results that are incorrect for example: http://mydomain.com/en/products/category/xx-product-name.html leading to 404 page not found error on my page while the correct link should be: http://mydomain.com/en/category/xx-product-name.html Why all my links in google results have /products/ in the structure? How to get rid of it? Also how to automatically redirect deleted products (categories, or any page) to right page? vekia
so there is a chance that these old urls available in google are related to old page that you had on this domain before.it takes time to remove old unused urls by google. In some cases large number of 404 pages can affect page seo value, in this case it is worth to redirect these old urls with 301 redirection.
