Product combinations

Hello,

 

i am in the process of migrating my eshop from xcart to prestashop but there is a feature that i cannot make it work.

My store sells eyeglasses and the customer selects lenses, the price updates and you add the product to the cart. I want the same feature at prestashop, is that possible?

Yes, it is possible. You'll need to go to Catalog > Product Attributes, create a "Lens" attribute group with each type of lens as an attribute, then go to Catalog > Products, edit the product, go to the "Combinations" tab, click the "Product combinations generator", choose the lenses available for the product and then click "Add", then enter the difference in price of each lens compared to the base price, then click the "Generate these Combinations" button.

Thank you for your reply, that is what i was looking for but is it possible to have more detail on the attributes description? I would like to have some images, paragraphs etc for each of the lenses available.

It's possible to upload images of each lens to the product on the Images tab of the product editor and then link them to combinations on the Combinations tab of the product editor. Unfortunately, there is no option to add a separate description to each combination. You could add a short description into the image itself though.
