How to manage subscriptions and recurring billing?

Hi all,

which is the best way to manage subscriptions (eg. subscription to a newspaper) and recurring payments?

Are there managed by default by Prestashop or are necessary external modules?

Have you ever used one of these modules?

By default PrestaShop doesn't handle this. Look through addons after a subscription module.

I've seen there are many modules we can use:

The problem is how to manage the payment phase when in a order there are both normal payments and recurring payments (subscriptions).

It seems that these modules use the standard features of PrestaShop to execute the transactions so I think that the renew of a subscription is not managed.

In fact the issue is how can be automated the renew of a subscription?

@Claudio : SOO Subscriptions v4.0 has been released with many features : Automated Recurring Payment by Paypal, Option allow to cancel the subscriptions on Customers account page ...etc... and many new feature. No more need to click to renew the subscription or anything like that.
