Can't install prestashop 1and1

I'm trying to install Prestashop on 1and1 windows hosting. I did create database and upload all the files to the FTP, but when i go to specified URL from the browser, it's just giving me a listing of directory. What should i do?

Do you have PHP5 installed and activated?

The company I work for uses 1and1.

I couldnt get PS working whatsoever so have moved away from them... there pretty useless at the best of times anyway, so a good move all round.

Now using Heart Internet (link here) and they are great

I use prestashop with 1and1, I

1. Created a DB
2. Copied all the extracted files to the ftp domain
2.1 Set the read/write permissions
3. Created a .htaccess file that contained the following;
AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
3.1 Put the file in the main directory of the ftp with all the PS folders/files
4.Then went the to url 
5.Filled out the database connection, setup completed
6.Deleted the Install folder
7.Renamed the /Admin to /xxx

seems to be working fine.
