[SOLVED] Address feilds - help needed

I'm very new to Prestashop and generally I think its amazing. I am not a coder but I can find files and change as necessary.

My problem is when testing the log-in (new user) and selecting 'United Kingdom' I get the following error...

There is 1 error :

1. this country require a state selection

I have tried the hack to change all files in the admin area to UK based address format posted on this forum. I now have the extra field in my database for County/Sate (input box)

I must of clicked on the 'has states option' in shipping admin. Unclick this and it now works. There must be no UK counties loaded within Prestashop - which will cause login to fail!

That's right. In Prestashop v1.2.5, only USA has states. In Prestashop v1.3, USA and Canada have states. You must create all other states manually.

Thanks for the replies, I have been given a list of counties for the UK now which is great but don't know how to add them to my database. Any help welcome, possibly need to start a new thread.

You must go to Shipping > States and add the counties as states.
