New for prestashop. Need help in understanding

Hi All,

 

I am new for prestashop. I need to create a online book store using prestashop. 

I have download and installed the prestashop in my local machine.

After install, I found prestashop comes with default theme for clothes.

 

But I need to create theme from scratch.

Can anyone suggest me to create a store from scratch?

Hi, if you want to delete all preinstalled data just go to Modules > Modules > pscleaner, in this module you can clear all your shop data like customers, products, orders etc.

Can anybody explain why I can not add new post. When I try to add it, site brings me to prestashop.com homepage. Same problem with post preview.

Problem with FO translations after 1.6.1.4 to 1.6.1.6 update


Hi all.


Today tried to update my store from 1.6.1.4 to 1.6.1.6 version using 1-click module.


Upgrade was successful, but when I tested my site, noticed, that Front-office has no translation to Russian and Latvian languages. (I have 3 languages activated, English, Russian, Latvian).


After opening  "Localization > Translations" I was surprised. It was showing, that I have 0(zero) translations for both languages.

Tried this things with no luck:

1. "Add / Update a language" function

2.  "Import a language pack manually"

Restored 1.6.1.4 version from FS and DB backups.


I use default theme.

Any ideas or suggestions?

From issue with translations go to: https://www.prestashop.com/en/translations manually download translation pack and install it in your shop, but make shure you didn't download newest translations becouse there is some bug in it, you supposed to download some older version with date before 07/04/2016.

Solved the problem by restoring my old translations after upgrade.
