Shahraam
Hi, I want to have a clear idea how to measure site load time? Shall we go through standard tools like GTmetrix and Pingdom or we had better use Chrome time analysis? In case of using Chrome what is the standard way? Shall we clear cache each time before analysis? ( Which seems logical! ) What is the best practice of Prestashop in trems of site load time in case of shared hosting and VPS? ( My reference here is to use Chrome without any cache in the memory ) Thanks.
El Patron
Here is problem, Google really uses for speed organics the time it takes to render 'above the fold' AFT page render, i.e. what the visitor sees. Measuring how long to also load the footer is less relevant. So using any of above tools will help this important measurement, note: I have not found a tool to measure it, but google patented their algorithm to do so. Measuring a shop using online metrix...pingdome, gmetrix, etc. while it provides useful information does not currently measure AFT. The AFT is so important that Google patented it. Learn more here:http://www.google.co...s/US20070118640 I suggest concentrating on content placement/speed of AFT.
