Change date of a news in blog section

Hello, 

I am looking to change the date on my latest news in my blog section. I posted it yesterday but I would like the date to be at the July 1 2016 instead of July 20. 

 

I find the the date format in my item.tpl file on the FTP but it's wrting like that:  date_format:"%B %e, %Y"}

 

So doesn't allow me to manage the actual date. 

 

Do you know where I can change it please ?

you may consider to use database tool such as PhpMyadmin to update the date directly if you know which table the blog is saved.
