Adding colour highlights behind product images for different categories

Hi all

 

Little hard to explain but prestashop has categories, I simply want products within a certain category to be able to have them coloured (ie kind of like highlighted but for every product)

 

So for example I have 2 categories, XX and YY. All my products under XX need to have a highlight around all the products in that category as red and all products under YY need to have a highlight around all the products as green.

 

Does this make sense?

 

Not sure if a module like this already exists perhaps to be able to highlight products within a category of a certain colour?

 

Any help would be massively appreciated.

- what if product will be both in XX and YY category?

- you want to do it on product page?

- you want to do it on category page (there where list of products appear)?

It will be on the products page when the products are displayed physically to the customer.

 

And that is a very good question as some products will appear in both categories (or more than 2 even for some) so ideally if they appear in more than 1 then it will need to have the option of another colour perhaps? Its almost like a 'key' or 'legend' so that the colours can indicate to a customer the type of product compatibility almost.

 

Any advice?
