Removing shipping cost from cart

Hi,

I have multiple shipping methods in my shop, and there is an option for customer to choose one in the checkout process.

But the problem is that the default delivery cost shows in the cart and the "dropdown cart" even before a customer can choose the delivery method.

I would like to remove delivery cost from both the cart and "dropdown cart" (I don't know how to name it properly :> )

I tried to follow the instructions in this post:

Delivery from dropdown cart disappeared but the "Total" changed to something really weird which doesn't even have a currency next to it, as you can see below:

And the main cart, which you go to after clicking the button next to dropdown cart, still shows the delivery cost, nothing changed.

 

I tried to edit both the /modules version of the blockcart.tpl and the /themes/mytheme/modules version of this file. Nothing worked.

Also I did clear cache...

I should add that this number in the dropdown cart sometimes change to a normal value with currency symbol next to it, but after a while it is weird again. It changes randomly while a customer adds or removes products from cart
