Delart
I am having this error when trying to update most of my products in the back office, but not all of them, so that is why I am asking here instead of my hosting provider.I have already checked permissions and everything is ok. Very strange error. All I have done in the past days is installing block newsletter, also changed register globals to off (already tried to turn it back on with no luck). The shop has been working great for months, so I don't know where to look at...The error FYI:"ForbiddenYou don't have permission to access /admindir/index.php on this server.Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."Any ideas? Thanks!! ecchi_goshujinsama
We are also having this issue and we have tried multiple troubleshootings and not getting anywhere. What could cause this?
Delart
All the weekend trying solutions with no luck:- My hosting provider suggested a permfix (permissions) to my whole account. Problem remains.- Same shop and database installed in localhost, no problem at all with updates. So it must be something related to the server, but also to PS because some products update without problems!Really getting out of ideas... I will really appreciate any kind of suggestion. Delart
Ok, it looks like there was a problem with mod_security. My hosting provider had to whitelist some mod sec rules.Hope this helps anyone else in a similar case!
ecchi_goshujinsama
Thanks for the info. I'll contact my hosting provider and see if it solves the same issue. Thanks.

Prestachamps
Hi @elgaxton This is a post from 2010, just thought to let you know. The page reference is not even functioning, also PS was at 1.3 version than. I would suggest to open a new pulse in case you have certain issues on the shop. The htaccess file can't be blank! Cheers, Leo
Hammertime
I get this error but only when access from the internet. I am self hosting and internally on my Lan I have no issues accessing the store or the admin pages. When I try to access via the internet from a remote machine i get the 403 Forbidden error when connecting port 80 and /prestashop and internal server error when accessing via port 8080. It is hitting the Apache web server as the error messages are from apache.
El Patron
This can happen also when native PS gep.location enabled and the IP does not resolve, PS will disallow shopping with 403 or front end message you cannot shop.
Hammertime
It seems it is permissions within the httpd-ssl.conf file. I have made some adjustments and renamed the.htaccess so it would recreate on startup. I can now access everything appropriately. Back Office only available locally, the storefront available both internally and externally via https. Only site of :80 within the httpd-vhosts.conf and the :443 site within the httpd-ssl.conf file. Making sure the Directory locations and permissions are correct.
