Default image for different product combinations

Is the below possible or can I only dream?

 

I see that product combination has a URL like example.com/clothing/dress.html#/2-size-medium/3-color-red

 

Using this URL, I want the visitor to see the product image of the red dress instead of the standard default image that is the same for any combination.

 

Basically, if the URL allows visitor to see the product page with pre-selected options, why can't it show the images related to the options pre-selected from the URL?

This is what should happen, did you set up specific images for the combos, in the back office? You can edit a combination, then select the product images that belong to it

Thanks for your reply.  Unfortunately, no it is not working like I think it should.  I did set all the combination images for each combination. 

 

If I enter the url with the options, the default image is still showing.  I wonder if the theme I am using is causing this issue now.

Do you know of a test or demo site where I can see that it should work that way?

It might indeed be the template. Does it have a specific theme demo?

Hi Nemo,

I think you are right.  It is most likely the template.  We discovered that it is not working on some browser and OS combinations.  But it works for others.  Strange.

I suggest asking the developer then, if it's paid, it must be fixed
