zac
Hi there, does anyone know if the standard theme in Version 1.3 is already finalized or is it possible there will be changes before the final release.I want to start to update my individualization V1.3 compatible, so I thought I use the standard theme and rebuild it for my case. Just to be prepared...Thanks, ZaC
Nero
Hi, I think you can start update. The changes in the template will be minor or none. So after releasing final version you can only check and compare template files used for modification if any changes has been made. If yes, apply these changes to your updated template.I've created custom template already based on template from latest SVN. Now checking only related files with template/modules if any changes has been done. Final version is comming
XAMelleOH
Really, it is very hard to check and compare files - so I'm always updating all files except my theme files - it is still all ok - no errors on my site with old tpl files.
rocky
Using a PrestaShop v1.2.5 with PrestaShop v1.3 will work, but the theme files have been updated quite a bit between v1.2.5 and v1.3 to fix bugs and improve some areas. If you don't update your PrestaShop v1.2.5 theme, then you are missing out on all these improvements. Also, the theme CSS files have been reformatted and cleaned up according to CSS specifications. Now, blocks with only one item are displayed on one line and the last item of a block doesn't have a semicolon. It is possible that there may be minor changes to the theme files between PrestaShop v1.3 RC4 and PrestaShop v1.3 final, but it should be easy to compare the files and update them in your theme. I'm currently creating a new theme for my website using the v1.3 RC4 theme that is based on a v1.2.5 theme.
