transmetent
Hi, i saw the last post was from 2009 and I suppose that it changed something. I like to hide the ID from URL, but when I delete the {id} tag on prestashop's SEO module i get an error. How can I do it? Thanks
shokinro
you can not simply remove {id} from URL, because it is used the back end PHP code. {id} is used in the URL rewrite rule. there should be a 3rd party module that help with that. try search it from Prestashop addons marketplace. codetheweb
Hi guy: You'll be able to find a free module like this one (for prestashop 1.6) freely: http://lebioda.github.io/PrestaShop-modules-CleanURLs/ King regards
El Patron
I highly advise not to remove id from url, google does not care, to do so 1) you will destroy your shop quickly or 2) you will destroy your shop slowly as you find out what native features and modules will stop working. shokinro
I agree with El Patron's opinion personally.

El Patron
Hi, by now I've a opencart shop. Opencart is not using number ID on their URL, I want to change to prestashop but I like to maintain the same URL that google indexed yet is for this reason that I like to remove the ID numbers on the url. Thanks This information would have been helpful at start, then there would be reason to be concerned about the id. This is module I recommend for my clients we convert from one cms to another: http://addons.prestashop.com/en/11399-301-302-303-url-redirects-seo.html Edited July 4, 2016 by El Patron (see edit history)
