Jeorje
Hello all, I have a problem with images regeneration. When I do this it creates image files but they are 0 bytes. Only initially charged image remains. The rest were just names. We generated htacces again, I deactivated / activated friendly URL, I emptied the cache, I tried again to regenerate with no results. I'm kinda out of ideas and i'm little desperate. I also have this problem with new products. I changed all the permissions and disappointing result. Currently I pulled back up img folder to be able to use the shop. Website: tennisrevolution.ro Any ideas? Has anyone encoundered with this king of problems? Thank you very much. musicmaster
Never heard about such problems before. Do you see any error messages or other strange effects? As a kind of backup service you can use Prestools that has its own image generation function.

musicmaster
What format do your original images have? PNG? JPG? Something else? And do you pre-process them with some software?

Jeorje
I use jpg images, pre-process with photoshop. In 2 yers i don't have this problem. With 3 days ago suddenly started. By the way, I used Prestools Suite and it worked ok. I still have this problem to the creation of new product. Thank you for the advice. Jeorje
@Lefty_sarl I have for img folder 777, for images folders 755 and 644 for images (files) Edited June 30, 2016 by Jeorje (see edit history)
codetheweb
777 is the hell so its a revelant of a bad configuration of the webserver. Also place all your folders on 777 chmod but i'm not sure it'll solved the problem. Did you put the dev mode ? Did you get errors when you create a product ? musicmaster
You can try this module https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/530451-free-module-imagemagick-support-for-prestashop/ It overrides the Prestashop code and works also without Imagick.
