PayPal v3.8.1 vs PayPal USA & Canada v1.3.9

What is the difference between these two modules? I seem to have a lot of customers that have issues checking out, though many of them eventually work their way through it, it seems it's more complicated for them than it should be. Not sure why though. Anyways, because of the difficulties customers seem to experience I was thinking of switching my paypal module from 3.81 to the paypal USA & Canada.

What's the difference between these two modules though? Is there any benefit in one over the other? My webstore is USA but I have many customers from Australia and other countries. Is the USA and Canada module compatible with people in other countries? Thanks,

It really has nothing to do with where you customer is located.  It is more about the type of Paypal account you have, and where you (the merchant) is located.  Also which type of Paypal services you require

Paypal 3.8.1 (aka Paypal Europe) was not designed to work in USA, but it certainly does.  This module has been updated to v3.10.10, so make sure you upgrade to the latest

The Paypal USA module has so many flaws, and lacks support, I would not suggest using it.  There have been many fixes submitted for this module, which Prestashop has failed to update in over 2 years, so if you are going to use this module, do your research on those issues and how to fix them

Alright thanks for the information. I did enable both and they seemed to do basically the same thing, with a slightly different layout when it redirects to the paypal site. I ended up disabling the original and trying the new one, just to see if there is an improvement. If not, or it gets worse I will switch back.
