Warning message when trying to add more quantity than is in stock

Does anyone know of an override that exists for this? I allow customers to order more than we have in stock and have my quantities displayed but still we have the occasional customer always email us asking where there order is. This would be a great feature to have working.

Customers are able to place an order just fine. But say we have 4 of an item in stock and they place an order for 6, I would like for them to have received a warning message when they first added 6 to their cart. Our customer base is older customers so they aren't as sharp as younger customers.

I don't see where to enable this alert anywhere on the BO > Preferences > Products page? I have it showing the available quantity already, just need the alert.

Can anyone else help me with this? Ndiaga's solution did not solve my problem.

 

If i have 6 of something in stock, and a customer wants to order 8, I want a message to pop up and say that "We only have 6 in stock, are you sure you want to order 8?".

 

Is this doable with stock prestashop or does anyone know of a module?

I have the same issue. 

I want to let people order even if product is out of stock.

But in this case, the products won't be delivered at the same time. 

Let's say I have 3 products in stock and customer orders 5. 

I'd like to have a message that says: "some products won't be delivered before 3 weeks" or something like that. 

I thought it was doable in Prestashop but I don't remember how to do...

Could someone help me ?
