Clone a "button" (and all the functions related)

Hi there,

in MY ACCOUNT there is the way to see at once orders and made a return request.

 

I need to separate Orders and Return request in two different buttons (and of corse pages) because I need a page where to see only orders and a page where to see only the possibility to ask a return.

 

I tried to clone controllers, tpl files and so on but I made a mess.... 

Maybe there is some advice or guideline or tips somebody can share with me?
