Dolke
Hi guys,I was just wondering something today so you might help me with your thoughts...Im currently using Prestashop 1.5.4.1 version (default theme) for my store.Currently server is running PHP version 5.4.45. which I believe is the version that 1.5 uses and it is compatibile. As PHP 5.4 reached end of life (http://php.net/supported-versions.php) I was wondering how this affects prestashop, its stability and security as well as hosting providers? I was worn about this by my hosting provider but Im not sure what that means actually? I know that Prestashop 1.5 is not fully compatibile to work under 5.5 or 5.6 PHP, mostly it works but some things might not work properly, Im I right? Share your thoughts...Thank you Edited June 24, 2016 by Dolke (see edit history)

selectshop.at
I'm running PS 1.5.4. also with php 5.6.30. There are no problems with it, BUT the shop has not much extras, so perhaps if you are using several non native modules and theme, you will need to check their function before to change. selectshop.at
Than you should test the compatibility of the extra modules only. Prestashop 1.5.4. native is working without any problems.
Dolke
I have decided to update our EasyApache from version 3 to version 4. Version 4 has this feature called multiPHP manager that is used to switch between php versions with an ease and you can adjust php version for each script you are running on the server.I will let you know if after this my PS works properly on php 5.6.30 Edited May 29, 2017 by Dolke (see edit history)
