Search bar is not working for Bengali Language.

I am using Prestashop cloud. My default language is Bengali. English is working fine. But Bengali shows "no results found". I tried to "Re-build the entire index".

 

Second problem, without 3 characters no results shown. I want it for 2 characters. I changed WEIGHT from Preferences>Search. Not working.

Ok, 2 more places you have to edit as below:

1. /modules/blocksearch/blocksearch-instantsearch.tpl

2. /themes/ [your - current - theme] / js/modules/blocksearch/blocksearch.js

Hello,

 

When you enable a second language and you can't search for any products, most likely, none of your products are translated in that languages.

You will have to go through every single product, edit it, then add name, description, etc... in that language.

 

To search with 2 characters, try this:

Great! working for problem no 2. I think Prestashop search engine is very poor for unicode language. Search bar not work for all Bengali words.
