Error installing Mail Alerts module

I have PS 1.6.1.5 and just tried to install the Mail Alerts module, but keep getting this error:

 

The following module(s) could not be installed properly:

• mailalerts :
      Unable to install controller: account
      Technical error: PrestaShop could not install this module.

What's wrong? I tried deleting and re-uploading the module but to no avail.

You are having problems to register the required controllers of the module, this could be because a damage in you database, modifications in the core file, override files, etc, etc.

I haven't touched any core files though

Sometimes you doesn't do this directly, but the simple fact of install a custom module un-official, this can damage our database or files without our knowledge.

 

I have a demo in my localhost, I have installed this module, and works as expected without setbacks.

 

My suggestion is, enable the debug mode and see if some error is thrown.
