Error 500 constantly every single hour for 5 minutes?

Hi all,

 

My site constantly down at every single hour for about 5 minutes plus. After 5 minutes plus and refreshed, the site back to normal again. After an hour, it down again... The front office shows Error 500 (Internal Server Error). Not even a new error shown in the error log. Any hints to solve this issue?

I have contacted them but they said that it is fine on their end.

Look in your access log. Maybe you will find something there.

 

At the moment I am looking at an hourly error in one of my shops

[Fri Jun 10 00:22:43.167653 2016] [fcgid:warn] [pid 12111] (104)Connection reset by peer: [client 198.16.7.150:38707] mod_fcgid: ap_pass_brigade failed in handle_request_ipc function

When I looked in the access log I found that it was my monitoring service that produced the following every hour:

198.16.7.150 - - [06/Jun/2016:07:28:27 -0400] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 301 446 "-" "FreeWebMonitoring SiteChecker/0.2 (+http://www.freewebmonitoring.com/bot.html)"
198.16.7.150 - - [06/Jun/2016:07:28:27 -0400] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 500 74399 "-" "FreeWebMonitoring SiteChecker/0.2 (+http://www.freewebmonitoring.com/bot.html)"

In my cases I haven't noticed downtimes, but I am still puzzled what is happening here.
