Strange pages 404

Hello,

I have strange pages 404 without referrer saved by the pagenotfound module in the statistic section.

They look like:

 

domain.com/wordpress

domain.com/xmlrpc.php?rsd

domain.com/index.php?controller=404

domain.com/apple-app-site-association

domain.com/.well-known/apple-app-site-association

 

and various pages that link to existing products or categories but with the URL that start with

 

domain.com/test/

 

This last word "test" change the link in 404. More, I never used, neither for testing, a directory called "test" for prestashop or other.

Have you an idea about why I have this 404 pages?

Do I have to worry about them?

What is a referer ? Someone coming from a link to your page. Bad bots or bots searching for something on your server (sniffing behavior of bad bots) will form a link that does not exist on your page, landing in a 404 = not found.

 

You don't need to take care on these links. What you should take an eye on, are spam-referer like semalt, ilove, etc....

 

Other links formed with yourdomain.com/whatelsenotexistent driving to 404 page is ok and well formed.
