shokinro
Does anyone know how to display a full product on the homepage? Your question is not clear, what do you mean full product? Display all products on home page or display full information (description) of a specific product?
groovybryce
Hello, Sorry i will try to be clearer ! Yes i would like to display full information of one or several products directly on the homepage (description, tabs, review,...). I have only 2 products in my shop, that's why it is important for me . Is there a way with smarty to embed a product page in another page ? (Eg the homepage). Thank you for your help! shokinro
I think you will have to also change the page controller (IndexController.php) so that you can have the product full data on home page. Or may be you can use iframe or frame to embed the product page in home page.
groovybryce
Thank you shokinro, I tried iframes but that causes many issues. IndexController.php seems to be a good idea but i am a newbee ! shokinro
Basically you will need to prepared the product data in IndexControler.php, just like it is done in ProductController.php Also you need to change the home page theme file index.tpl like it is done in product.tpl
musicmaster
Depends on what you want. Prestashop tends to deliver much more information to a page than is used by the template. You can see what is available with commands like {debug} and {$product|print_r} in your template. If the extra information that you need is already there it would be enough to change the relevant template file.
