subaru4wd
Our store allows backorders. We have a problem where an item will show in stock, but if a customer orders more than the available quantity... he is not told until after the order has been placed and paid for. I receive emails from customers who are upset because an item appears in stock when they add it to the cart, and when they view it in the cart. But immediately after payment is made, the order is placed in backorder. example: we have 8 balls in stock. customer places order for 10 balls. customer is told his order is in stock and customer then makes a payment. Payment clears, our stock is now -2 and the customer gets an email saying his order is on backorder. Customer emails me immediately and cancels his order and demands a refund. This happens constantly and is a huge burdon on our business. I need a solution. It would be great if Prestashop could warn the customer, prior to making a payment while he is still reviewing his cart. Is there a module, plugin, option someplace to alert the customer they have ordered more than the available stock and their item will be placed on backorder??? I find this odd. Every e-merchant I do business with has these options... however prestashop overlooks such a simple thing??
69star
Not the ideal solution but could you display your inventory levels on your product pages so they know how many are in stock and how many they can order? subaru4wd
Not the ideal solution but could you display your inventory levels on your product pages so they know how many are in stock and how many they can order? You are correct, that is not a solution.
