andybr1ggs
Why am i getting this error when trying to place a test order ?
rocky
Make sure that you have a carrier set for delivery to the zone of the selected address. If there is, go to the Shipping tab, select the carrier in the dropdown, then click Save to save the shipping costs. If you forget to save the shipping costs, you'll get that message. Solutions
There are no carriers available that will deliver to this address!I am having this problem too on new installation of RC3 . . . have made sure of the settings and tried various others and still get the same message.I have zone US checked, I have all 50 states checked and I have the dollar amount and shipping weight all with their triggers set at minimum threshold . . . the default carrier seems to be set up correctly . . . Any other suggestions?

shorg
Same here, i've just upgraded to 1.3 and now i'm getting this annoying message. I have the price and weight ranges properly set, there's a single zone that covers the whole country, two shipping methods (COD and pick-up in store), none of them available in checkout. What am i doing wrong?? shorg
OK guys, it has to do with fees. Make sure your price and weight ranges are set for your carrier. Then assign zones to your carrier if you haven't done that yet. Then define a default carrier. go to the Shipping tab and scroll way down to 'Fees by carrier, geographical zone, and ranges' and select your carrier from the dropdown. If you don't see one or more zones and the respective input fields for the fees, the carrier will definitely not show up in the checkout. If there's an input field, enter the shipping fee and you are good to go.I've got two delivery methods, COD and store (pick up in store, with fee set to 0), both defined as carriers. I did the above procedure to both, and this finally made them available for the customers. So this is not really a bug, just extremely confusing settings. Dbuzz
It is a bug: http://www.prestashop.com/bug_tracker/view/4992/And it is caused by PS not handling properly the updates on a carrier. If you fixed the issue it doesn't mean you fixed the underlying bug.
Hegoats
Sorry, I am new here, but how do I tell the system which address belongs to which zone? I am NOT in America (believe it or not), and all those preconfigured zones etc. don't work for me.... For example, I only need two zones here: Main Centres and Outlying Areas. But how do I tell the system now that Cape Town is a Main Centre, while Kimberley is an Outlying Area?
rocky
Go to the Shipping > Zones tab and create zones that are suitable for your shop, then go to Shipping > Countries, edit each country and choose which zone it belongs to in the "Zone" dropdown.
