Maintenance page and Google

Hi!

I have modified a maintenance page to a coming soon page, link here https://www.veitsikauppa.fi/

The store is bilingual (Finnish, English) and it has SSL enabled to all pages.

How do I add it to Google Webmaster/Search Console? I have added four properties on Search Console (http://, http://www, https:// and https://www.) What should I do with the robots-file and the XML-sitemap? Is the maintenance mode hidden in search engines as a default or something?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Sanna

Just follow the same process which you followed for rest of your 4 websites. I downloaded & installed a plugin on a clients website, seems to work great!... Just a quick question about it. The reason why I chose a plugin opposed to the many others is because of the "Allow Search Bots to bypass maintenance" feature. With this option enabled, will the search engines crawl my website as if the maintenance page is not there and continue to index the entire website while in maintenance mode? So install this plugin and play safe.

From the question it is looking that you are going to target finland, so you need to set geo target it from your webmaster console, https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/62399?hl=en ,get help from this link.

Secondly, you need to use https with www version of url.

Thirdly you have to generate your robot.txt and sitemap.xml from online tools and place them in your root directory.
