Problems to import products

Hi Everyone

I have a problem :-S , I´m trying to import a big data base of products, the categories are already created, I triying to import the data base with a CVS file. this file has 39 products but only 16 products are imported , I don´t know why, other thing is that I add a personal ID but the products has another one

This is the CSV file and those product can´t be imported
ID;Name;Category;Price without tax;Tax;Cuantity;URL for the images

I have this one that has the ID: VERB4-60 but in the product list I see 99044 ….

for one thing ID can be only number

this is sample of my product... it might give you some clues:

Ah ok excellent, I made the changes and worked fine, thank you VIXUS

I have another problems .... As I told you I have 39 categories, and the problem now is : I import the product for Category X, them for Category Y and them for Category Z but the later of that the producto for category X or Y were deleted, I´ve ttried to import again but always happend the same thing

if you want same product in more categories simply input all their ID's separated with comas eg. categories: 100,101,102 and product will be in all of them.

No, no... the problems is import products and I don't know why the products that are already imported were deleted,
please see the image, for example, I imported the products for the "Correctores" but when I imported the productos for "Productos Magneticos" the products that were in "Correctores" weren't there, please check the imagen and the file

but the way, the configuration of the import page you can see it in the ohter image

It is clear that you are doing something wrong.

For test... try to import all products in all categories at once from a single file and they check if you perhaps use identical products ID's and so one overwrites other or you did not set correct category ID's so products move from one to oher category?

basicly what is wrong with your csv is that you are providing only partial data and it misses all other data that it needs.

open this file in your excell and you will see what is wrong with your file.... mine language signs might be messy but you will get the perspective. (i hope)

Anyway use search becouse on this matter theres a ton of posts.

yes, and when you are importing set every column that is empty to "IGNORE" state

Hi VIXUS

I tried to import all the categories in one single file and worked fine, but when I tried to import the product (almost 1300) I got this error message “Cannot find http://www.dataprintgroup.com/tienda/admin_dp/index.php?tab=AdminImport&token=be61f3cb106e9c2ed24cb9c2f9b98404“ and “DNS Error – Server cannot be found“

I modified tha php.ini, I changed this max_input_time = 300, it was in 60 and i chaged to 300 but the products don't import

Any idea ?

yes... that is the common problem... i dont import more than 20 products at the time.
Use search to see how others managed to resolve that issue.

Hi all...well.. my problems continue ....... :-S

I could importa the category in one single file and worked fine
When I started with products, I started with 100 products by file, when I continued importing files I couls see that some product of other categories were deleted, them I tried to import all the products in one single file (all most 1300 file) but I got this error messege

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

When I see the table ds_products I only can see 230 ..... I don't really know what the poblem can be :down: …. here are the files that I'm using …. ah but the way I reinstall everything

I also try to update thousands of products with scv, but only few actually get updated.
Do you know how to fix this?
In another thread someone suggested to change ther server's timeout.
