multiple products on "single product" page - Grouped Products

Hi there, 

 

wonder if anyone would be able to help me please. I've had a search for this but not really found any resolution.

 

I would like to have multiple items for sale on a single product page, almost like product variations, i.e. colour size etc but rather than have this selectable via a drop down list I'd like all the product variants visible at the same time with their respective "add to cart" and "quantity" selection buttons. 

 

so for instance if I was selling old rope..

 

I'd click on the Category -> Rope (Category) -> Old Rope (Product)

 

Old Rope 

 

Blue Old Rope - *quantity* - *add to cart*

4ft Old Rope - *quantity* - *add to cart*

Green 3ft Old Rope - *quantity* - *add to cart*

Purple Old Rope - *quantity* - *add to cart*

 

I have seen this replicated on Magento - its referred to there as "grouped product page" so I guess I'm just trying to replicate that functionality. 

 

I know it sounds odd but in my store it makes more sense as people would often like to purchase random numbers of these similar products together in one go.
