[SOLVED] Credit slips

Hi there,

this maybe a stupid question but I don;t know what is the function of credit slips can somebody ... explain to me please with examples.

According to the Wiki:

Credit slips are receipts issued by the merchant to the customer that acknowledge an accepted return of merchandise. Unlike vouchers, credit slips have no monetary value.

So it is like an invoice, except for an RMA instead of an order.

this is what I understand :

customer buy from my shop and then he return the product due to some damages and I issue him a credit slip for the return. with that credit slip he get another item with the same value in my shop ?

is this it ?

That is how credit slips usually work, but not in PrestaShop. In PrestaShop, credit slips have no monetary value. You must create a voucher if you want to give a customer "store credit" they can use to buy products.

Oh ok ... so there's no use to give credit slips to customers then .. so when the customer returns something I just issue a voucher ... .. thanks ...

Credit slips are useful if you want to give customers something they can print out as proof that their return was accepted. If you don't want to do that, then they are of no use to you.
