Moving modules around?

I understood that if I install the cart module, it will be placed where {$HOOK_RIGHT_COLUMN} exist in my tpl file. But how do I change so that the cart module shows up in for example {$HOOK_LEFT_COLUMN} ?

Hello Lakestone,

To place the cart module or any other module too left or right column or some modules in footer or header ect.. you do that by simple going to BO then go to modules then in top left corner choose positions , here you can choose the module en where you want to hook it ( left or right ) after confirm you scroll down to block left for example ( if you choose hook left column ) there you see the module now, you can simple drag it up and down to position it in left column to be seen on FO.

I cannot move modules from one side to the other? left to right

Which module are you trying to move? If it has functions for both the left and right column hooks, you should be able to go to Modules > Positions > Transplant a module, choose the module under "Module" and then choose "Right column blocks" under "Hook into", then click Save. This will copy the module from the left column to the right column. You will then need to go to Modules > Positions and then click the X next to the module in the "Left column blocks" section to remove it from the left column so that it is only in the right column.
