Guest
Hej Any1 I've just began to use Prestashop as a part of a school project. So I'm pretty new to Prestashop. The installation completed without trouble and I could login. But when I try to add a language, or if I install a language pack, Prestashop kicks me back to the login screen. when I try to login again I'm getting this . It won't redirect me to the Dashboard. I've tried to reinstall Prestashop a few time, but with same result. I'm not sure what is going on here. I can't go to the frontend either. Any1 else having same experience? Btw I'm using the last version of Prestashop (1.6.1.5). Best Regards

Guest
Try cleaning up your cookies and logging in from another computer or browser. Hey and thanks I tried to clean my cookies and tried to access my site from four different browser, but same result. I should have mentioned it before, but my site is a local project. Did you deleted the install directory at first? Yes I did deleted it
musicmaster
This looks like the infamous login loop. Try searching the forum for login problems. Symptoms are that you don't get a wrong password message when you type the right password but are yet redirected to the login screen. I don't know a sure solution. Some posts to study: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/272623-prestashop-155-admin-keeps-logging-off/ https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/3750[spam-filter]admin-login-loop-cant-get-the-admin-panel/

Guest
Thanks for the suggestions, but I figured out it had something to do with the database table prefix.
vekia
may i know what was wrong with db prefix? this sounds strange, was this prestashop issue?
Guest
Truth to be told, I don't know if the prefix was the real issue. I've tried to delete Prestashop and its database a number of time and they all had the same database prefix. But when I changed the prefix to something different the language problem stopped. Btw here were a few other prefix giving the same issue, but when I found the right one it worked.
