Error when installing European Paypal module

Hi All,

 

I was wondering if someone could please help me troubleshoot this problem

 

Everytime I try to install the european module i get the following error:

[PrestaShop] Fatal error in module file :/clientdata/apache-www/m/a/macsasnew.com.au/www/modules/paypal/api/paypal_connect.php:

Cannot redeclare class PayPalConnect

 

=================

 

Can anyone advise how i can fix this problem ? I'm using prestashop 1.6.1.4

Sounds to me like you have multiple Paypal modules installed.  If that is the case, then both of those modules have a class named PayPalConnect, and the error is telling you that you cannot have 2 classes with the same name.

HI Bellini,

 

Yes I downloaded the paypal standard from the marketplace.  Then uninstalled it , as it wouldn't work for some reason.

 

Then i tried to install the european paypal module.   How do I make sure that the "paypal standard" is removed completely ?  from the sounds of it uninstalling it from within prestashop has still left some remnants behind.

what is "paypal standard"?  you would need to locate this module in the module listing page, or using an FTP client in the modules folder, and then delete it.
