Views based on link id

The question may not be correct, this is what happen:

 

I have a client which is running a PS v1.6, everything is fine, but he wants to build a section to display all sub-categories with products, when user clicks on X product it only displays a description and that's is all, and then he want another section to show the same process but in this case the sub-categories has to show the add to cart on each product as normally do, when a user clicks on X product it doesn't show the description but the default view of a product...I really don't know is this can be done without plugins or if it is even possible...

 

As you might have think, this is bonkers, I thought the same, it is!!!! but hey thats what the client wants right...

so one view to show just products and descriptions and another view to show products detail to buy...
