kinderyum
Hi everyone, I would love to hear people's thoughts on the best methods/software/etc used for doing Back Ups (of my Prestashop stores). I currently use Filezilla but is there a better software or FTP program that ensures 100% integrity of the files? Currently, I download my files to my local hard drive and have this hard drive synced to my online Dropbox account. It would be ideal if my web hosting company offered 100% integrity backups, as part of their hosting. Cheers! shokinro
backup need to consider to both files and database of store. most hosting service provider has backup plan, use service provider backup plan is also a good option. when you do backup by yourself, you need to backup the store database from back office - Advanced Parameters - DB Backup for files backup, you can use anything that is easy for you, filezila is also a good option. make sure to back the files and database at the same time. Dh42
I was actually in the middle of publishing an article when I saw this. This is what we recommend, https://dh42.com/blog/backing-prestashop-site/ It is flexible, cheap, and just plain works.
