How to add new lanauges keeping theme configuration of the main lang

Hi, I'd like to add additional languages but would like the theme (image layout, modules enabled etc) for new language to be displayed exactly the same as the first language to save time. Or maybe the config for the theme in the first language could be transposed to the new language by copying some file on ftp? Is that at all possible?

language is independent from the theme settings (position of modules etc.). So new language WILL NOT AFFECT THEME, and enabled modules, position of modules etc.

there is a chance that you will have to add some images again ( for example if you use sliders, banners that uses different images for each language available in the shop)

My experience indicates that if when I add a new lanugage I need to configure theme from scratch because it doesn't keep the configuration of the first language. Is there any way to keep the configuration or copy it to the new language/s.

I am not sure if I understand your question correctly, by configuration, do you mean the translation of text or label? if your theme does not include the language packages for the new language you are adding, then you will have to translate all text and labels for each language you add. that normal.
