FATAL ERROR at the moment of payment

We've received many claims for another different problem: users get a FATAL ERROR at the moment of payment and are no more able to reach the website a second time. They cannot even see contacts nor any other part of the website when they retry to access the website.

This is experienced as very frustrating because they are unaware of the outcome of the payment process and cannot access the website anymore in order to check what happened or what step of the procedure they have reached.

have you tried to see what is the exact error message in details?

 

you can try to set _PS_MODE_DEV_ to true in file /config/defines.inc.php, a more detailed error message will be displayed so you can figure out what is the cause.

(I assume the error is inside your Prestaashop store, not outside of store, like on payment gateway site)

It is really strange! I have never seen such behavior. It seems the payment module causes the fatal error.

Hello, same error Here. I have installed "Custom payment method" module, when the user confirm the order, a message of "Fatal error" is showing in the browser, The customer close the session, the cart is empty but the order is not finished, He must do all steps again, Is not appearing with all the users only with a fraction of them. Any Help?
