RuiSoares
Hi, I'm currently developing a website with the latest Prestashop version (1.6.1.5) based on the default theme for this version. But if I wanted another theme compatible with this version and later upgraded the Prestashop version, would I need to upgrade the theme version to be compatible with the new Prestashop version? And how could I do it? Thanks
shokinro
If will be depend on the changes you made and what is the changes of PrestaShop new version. if both changes are on the same place, then it will be affected, otherwise, it should be fine as long as the version upgrade is within minor version, Please note - the ne version 1.7 will not support old themes
RuiSoares
Thank you for helping. So, for instance, if I got a theme compatible with 1.6.1.5 and then it's released Prestashop 1.6.1.6 and there's no compatibility from the theme I got before... Do i have to find a new theme compatible with the new Prestashop version? I think i'm making myself clear :/ Edited May 12, 2016 by RuiSoares (see edit history)

Do i have to find a new theme compatible with the new Prestashop version? This is minor version upgrade, most cases the theme should be still working fine. But you have to ask your theme provider. No one can guarantee to support future version without any problem, because you do not know what changes will be from PresatShop.
